Meet Covestro Ӕthon!

In May, the time had finally come: at DAS LIEBIG in Aachen, we were able to present our new Sonnenwagen, the Covestro Æthon, to the public for the first time. The rollout was a special milestone for us - and we are delighted that so many of you celebrated this moment with us. A big thank you goes to all our partners, families and friends who were there on site or online. We would also like to thank everyone who accompanied us on the way to building Covestro Æthon - whether with technical expertise, financial support, or simply words of encouragement. For all those who could not be there in person: No problem! You can watch our Rollout at any time on our YouTube channel and see the end result for yourself. Covestro Æthon is the result of two years of development and production with 45 dedicated students. We are very proud of the final result and look forward to the next stages with Covestro Æthon and to experiencing them together with you.
And for those who are wondering what Æthon means: this year's name is also inspired by an animal - the horse that pulls the chariot of the Greek god Helios. For the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, we now hope that our Covestro Æthon will also carry us to the world championship title.

Im Mai war es endlich so weit: Im DAS LIEBIG in Aachen durften wir zum ersten Mal unseren neuen Sonnenwagen, Covestro Æthon, der Öffentlichkeit vorstellen. Das Rollout war für uns ein besonderer Meilenstein – und wir freuen uns sehr, dass so viele von euch diesen Moment gemeinsam mit uns gefeiert haben. Ein herzliches Dankeschön geht an all unsere Partner, Familien und Freunde, die vor Ort oder online dabei waren. Covestro Æthon ist das Ergebnis von zwei Jahren Entwicklung und Fertigung mit 45 engagierten Studenten. Wir sind sehr stolz auf das Endergebnis und freuen uns auf die kommenden Etappen mit Covestro Æthon und darauf, sie gemeinsam mit euch zu erleben. Und für diejenigen, die sich fragen, was Æthon bedeutet: auch dieses Jahr ist der Name von einem Tier inspiriert - dem Pferd, welches den Sonnenwagen des griechischen Gottes Helios zieht. Für die Bridgestone World Solar Challenge hoffen wir nun, dass auch unser Covestro Æthon uns zum Weltmeistertitel tragen wird.
